CORONATION MEDALS
The Silver & Bronze Coronation Medals are among the oldest trophies played for by the women of Devon. The Silver Coronation Medal was originally the LGU* Devonshire Open County Medal and is dated 25th June 1902. Back then it was played for twice each year.
The Bronze Coronation Medal was the LGU Devon Open County Medal commemorating the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in June 1911. It was presented to Devon in 1929.
Both medals were originally played as part of the Championship Meeting, have had several different handicap divisions but are now awarded to the nett winners of each division at the DevonGolf County Medal Finals Day.
Centenary Salvers (2000) were donated by the DCLGA** Centenary Committee in 2001 for the winners of each medal to take to their club for that year.
